I found someone selling this machine, used once, still in box with all the manuals for $95. I did some quick research and told her I wanted to buy the machine.

Does anyone on here have this machine and do you like it?

The only problem with some of the older machines may be the smaller hoop size. Many of the new designs need a minimum of a 5" X 7" hoop :D:D:D

Is this one a combo? I have the Brother SE270D which only does up to a 4x4 hoop and I enjoyed it a lot until I could upgrade to one with the 5x7 hoop. For that price, I don't think you can go wrong though!

I have never had or used and embroidery machine before and I wasn't looking for one, but the price seemed right for a starter machine. I will probably use it mostly to add embellishments on little girl clothing, since I have the cutest little granddaughter to sew for now!

Learning to use it is just another thing on my ever growing list of things to accomplish this year!

I don't have one but I do know you will need a way to transfer the designs to the machine, like a magic box. It has a 4x4 hoop. I've heard good things about them.

I had one along time ago. It does only take the 4x4 designs but hey thats all I needed when I first started. Did it come with any embroidery cards? This machine uses the card slot. You can also use the pedesign to load the designs. ( I think that is the one) Good luck and have fun.

I love mine, but I don't do a lot of embroidery so the 4 x 4 hoop is fine with me. I also use PED Basic to transfer patterns.

These are great machines, with an average resale value of $150 so you are getting a good price. They are a beginner machine, and only take a 4x4 hoop. I would get the PED Basic for it so you could at least download additional designs from the internet. It takes PES designs and you need to be sure when you buy designs that they aren't too big for the 4x4 hoop. You did good!

Sounds like it will be a perfect machine to use to decorate little things for DGD. You'll gain confidence and the little ones seem to like anything we make them. I'm still waiting for a DGD. Right now I have 5 DGSs, but if and when she comes along, I'm going to sew her the cutest little things anyone could ever imagine.

That was my first Embrodery machine. It does only embroidery and the hoop is 4x4. I used it about 6 times before I sold it and bought one with a 5x7 hoop. It is a good machine to start with I guess...
