Anyone have this http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/BL-BLQK.php ?

It looks kind of cool and mimics hand quilting.

I do not have this machine but I was looking in my new brother manual and found that I have some stitch that is suppose to look like hand quilting too. That looks like a really cool machine.

Just saw it advertised in a magazine, didn't think it was available yet though

I played with one at a local shop and thought it was pretty cool. The price is pretty high though.

My Janome 9000 has a stitch to mimic handquilting but it doesn't look nearly as good as this machine. Kind of tough to rationalize buying a machine for one stitch, though. I didn't see the price. Dare I ask?

The babylock on "sale" was $1,500

Ouch.

does it work for free motion quilting? some curves are just easier to do with free motion then to continually pivot and shift the quilt.

it might be fine to pivot a small project but anything more than that might get tiring really fast.

It would be great if you could FMQ with it...
