Brother Scan and Cut

Have you seen the new Brother Scan and Cut that just came out. It has built in shapes, fonts and designs or you can scan in your own drawing. It adds seam allowance lines and cuts them out. So much more....google and read about it. I am saving my money..this looks awesome.

I'll have to look that up too. Sounds interesting. Everyone (Manuf) wants a piece of the pie.....

it wasn't due out until sometime in Oct but I got to pick mine up this past week. There are two versions, one is cheaper. I got an awesome deal buy preordering it from the floriani event. It has so many great features, you can even scan your fabric in and the place your items that you want to cutout on different sections so that you can cut just where you want. So I love to fussy cut and this will make it so much easier. It cuts just about everything including balsa wood. Doing applique on my embroidery machine will be easier, making the 18in doll clothes, easier because it can cut the fabric and you tell it what size seam allowance you want to use. They have videos at Brother and I can't wait to start using it. My grandson said the first thing we need to make are the clinging things that stick on your windows and using the built in Halloween designs. That's what's happening this weekend. It also comes with different fonts, words, lots of stuff. So glad I got such an awesome price on it too. No finance charges right now.

Still, it is a blade driven system. I am waiting for some smart manufacturer to show up with a "relatively" cost effective laser system.
