Yes, I saw some cute ones too. I clicked on "images" and searched "cartoon bees" & "bee coloring pages."

I searched here on the board also and found 'mythreesons' post of a bumblebee quilt:

Those are cute bumble bees. I like the 3rd one the best.

Go to google and select images...them type in what you are looking for. To narrow it down a bit on the left side select Clip Art. You will come up with more images than you can every sew. =) It has become my favorite way to search.

Hi Gramtam,

I have a piece of fabric that has bees that look just like the ones that Jo M posted. The bees are on a light blue background. It's maybe 3/4 yard. You might be able to use it in the borders and do a large applique of a bee in the center of the quilt.
I'd post a picture but I'm not sure how as I've never done it before. I could possibly shut down the whole system. :o)
Let me know and I'll try and post it. I have it scanned and stored, so ready to give it a try if you are interested.

Hi...do you have an embroidery machine or know anyone with one? You can get some superb little characters embroidered. I live in the UK and would be happy to embroider you some if you are not in a rush...they are from the Bunnycup collection....Bumblebee at bottom....you could have them in different colours and put boorders round them...also one design has the bumblebee looking straight forward

Have you tried any clip art? There are thousands out there for free!

Here is a link to a 'free' real cute paper pieced block from Piece by number. You can enlarge it for a center block or alternate several with either traditional pieced blocks or perhaps a plain block that has bees on it. Lots of possibilities!

Feeling your pain! My granddaughter wants a quilt with an elephant on it....with no tusks. She is 17 and a very "cool" teenager, I might add...so I don't want it to be cartoony but looks like that will be sort of what she will have to get. Frustrating to figure out what to do, what kind of background (she wants green). Yet it needs to be "cool". Good luck with the bee. Looks like some cute ideas above.
