If it were me, I'd just call her up and ask if you're invited. Maybe there was a mix up, or maybe she just overlooked you (though I hope not) but surely she won't mind if you come?

and maybe there's one shower that's more friends and another that's more family? That happens around here. Only the grandmothers are invited to both. The reason is to not have someone be expected to show up with more than one gift.

If you don't get invited to the shower don't take it personally, maybe it was put on by some of her friends and they didn't know all the family members. Take advantage of the situation and deliver it when you can have your niece and the baby all to yourself !

That is one adorable baby quilt! My favorite color combos...pink and purple. My step-daughter is expecting in June...she told her dad to hint to me that if she has a girl she doesn't really want pink anything, so if I make a quilt for the baby she'd like it in shades of purple...gladly!
