I have the 6600P and it is a dream and a workhorse. Would buy another Janome if I could.

How do I find the Yahoo group?

I just bought a Janome JEM Platinum. I love it. It is great for straight sewing or piecing. It is quiet and a workhorse in a small package. I use my Babylock Quest Plus for quilting and buttonholes. Both machines get a workout and I am very happy with them.

This is changing the subject a bit. But some time ago there were several people who had fires in thier sewing rooms. I was just wondering what was the cause of most of these fires. Are the sewing machines catching fire when not being turned off or is it something else. I was taking a quilting class some years ago & our instructor told us how important it was to always turn it off when leaving the room. If this is what causes these fires, I'm going to be a whole lot more careful. Greeter Eva

I have had my Janome 8000 about 25 years and I still love it. Besides having it cleaned, I have \only had a couple of repairs done on it. Janome has recently come out with a new sewing machine for quilters, I may look into that. Mine does embroidery etc. but I would like one more for quilting. I don't know the price but I'm sure it isn't cheap, none of them are.

You go into Yahoo.com.
I think you will be asked to put your details in then look under connect Find groups /Hobbies /craft the groups name is 6500/6600 /7700 Janome
You have to put in a request to join it
There are other quilting /sewing groups there as well
I hope you can work that out as it is a while since I did it
Maybe someone else has answered your question
Joan
