I have all the fabric sorted as to what I want to keep. NOW...there is a lot and I am talking a lot of knit, flannel, a large tub of Christmas cotton fabric, couple of yards of net, a little fleece. There is a small bag of scraps, but the rest of this we are talking yards, some of it with the price tag still on it. I want to donate this to a group that will make good use of it. And the Question.....what group? Has to be near Oklahoma City. Would cost a small fortune to ship any where. I can deliver if it is close enough or meet somewhere. I would like to make sure that it is a charitable org and not someone that would not put it to good use. Well, you know what I mean.
Come on Ladies and Gentlemen...Help! If you have any questions you would like to ask me, just pm. Thanks in advance and lets get all of this fabric to a new and happy home!!

There is a guild in OKC that makes charity quilts. I am sure they would be happy to make arrangements to pick it up. If this is something you would be interested in, send me a PM and I'll get you information to contact them.

Here are a couple of ideas if you can't find a group to take it all:

I know our local senior center is always looking for crafting supplies like yarn and fabric because many of the seniors can no longer afford to buy it.

High schools sometimes like the fabrics for the drama department for costumes or sets.

Church groups, scouting troops, the senior center, any school that still has a sewing classroom.

there is a group in Maine that uses these type fabrics to make clothing for homeless people. Maybe there is a similar group in your area?

I'm sure there is a Project Linus group in your area. They could use the fabrics to make quilts for the area hospitals. You can go to projectlinus.org, and look at your state and see.

Do you have a local 4H sewing club in your area? They could always use the fabric. I know our club would love to receive such a wonderful gift.

It's a Kaleidoscope that's made with strata. The method is in Ricky Tims' Kool Kaleidoscope Book or DVD. Looks complicated but is really simple.
