Can anyone identify this fabric?

I purchased 4 fat quarters of this fabric when I was on vacation in Tennessee last month. There wasn't any yardage available and none of my fqs have the manufacturer's name on it. I went to so many different shops I can't even remember which one I got them at. Thanks!

If no one recognizes it, then I would search on-line. Maybe go to Fabric.com or some other on-line store and search the on-line store using a word to describe the fabric. Sorry can't be of more help.

I don't have any idea. I know I've never seen it, but it looks either vintage or a 30's reproduction to me. It looks to me like a caricature of Lucille Ball, dressed all in bubbles (like a bubble bath). Good luck to you!

I did a picture search on http://www.findmyfabric.com/ and ever other fabric with these colors came up but not this specific one . . .

I'd like to know, too.

I bet it was google images. You can drag & drop an image into the search bar, and it will find similar. I tried, and it found this on etsy (different shop).

I googled "1930s reproduction bubbles"

It looked like 1930s repro to me so I took a chance. :)

I also think you ladies are amazing! I was trying to think how to describe this pattern in order to search....it is really cute fabric, isn't it?

And I didn't know about the drag and drop to the search bar...That is neat!

I am low tech. The copyright is usually printed on the selvage of bolt fabrics, not on quarters I guess.

Holy Toledo!!! I didn't know you could do that! Thank you for a new toy...and a very practical one!

duckydo 06-17-2012 11:04 AM

That was cool, so glad you found it

Glad you were able to find your fabric because I had no idea. However, I was looking for a piece of Jinny Beyer fabric and followed the suggestions by others and found a piece that I needed. Thanks everyone.
