Hello to all that can help. I made this 45 years ago and now cannot remember the pattern name. Might be in the star types and a long shot of "Doves in a Window". I have a picture in the attachment if you would like to take a guess. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Sorry don't have an answer. I just wanted to say that the fabric placement was perfect for this pattern. Very very pretty.

Unfamiliar but are those butterflies rather than doves, perhaps?

Very cool pattern - but sorry I looked through all the resources I have and did not find it. Are you looking for the name only or are you trying to recreate it? It appears to be based on a Nine Patch and could be easily drawn in EQ. I would be happy to do it for you if that is what you need.

It looks like a Chicago Star block.

You can find directions for making it at Quilter's Cache.

I think it is lovely. Distinctive and unusual. Don't give up yet. Someone here will give you the name and how to do it in no time! These people are amazing.

Many thanks for offered help. I used to make my own patterns so that might have answered my own question but I am sure it was from a quilting book. I learnt to quilt at the San Diego Quilting Society and there were lots of wonderful books available from the members. Sadly, moved around too much and lost some stuff and given away. Thanks again for all the links which I am looking at. So many blocks,so little time. Your quilt picture looks really hard to do with all the points. It reminds me of The Mariners Compass which was the first quilt I made (as a novice) against the advice of the SDQS gals. How hard can this be? Learnt my lesson there ended up with points all winky wonky LOL. Another one not to do is a Sampler Quilt, boy! they can end up looking messy. So thanks again for the support. Ann Skalecky
PS. I think someone found it from one of the threads, it looks exact - Chicago Star - Yay!

You found it!

Many thanks for finding it. It looks exact even to the design of the fabrics. Thank you so much. I really appreciate all you gals trying for me. Quilting gals are a special bunch. Ann Skalecky
