Tussymussy, I LOVE YOUR AVATAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sewextreme, nice LC. I really like the way you did the center blocks on your LC

Thank you. That 15" x 15" is a Jo Morton quilt called Cabin Corners. I sorta did my own thing. But, it is my favorite to make for special people. :-D I studied her photos pretty closely to figure out how she selected/combined different colors and patterns for her quilts.

You can do what you want.

yes you can. however, I would suggest you draw out your log cabin block and divide it by the five to ee what width they logs will be. If you are not controled by the finished size then I would definitely make the width of the logs an even size or at least a size that would be easy to cut (not 2 1/6" etc......lol

Really, you can do what you want. But, hurry so I can copy it!!! (just kidding...it's on my to-do list!)

Your quilt, your rules

I just cut strips from 20 random pieces of fabrics. HOWEVER, they were chosen from lights and darks. The fun thing about a LC is you don't know what you are going to get until the blocks are finished. This can be a great way to use up scraps or FQ's. The magic comes from your arrangement of the blocks
