Can someone help me find this?
I have been searching and searching the tutes and cannot find what I'm looking for. When making a fabric basket with 1/2 inch or thicker cotton cording, there was a tute about a way to hide the end of the cord at the top of basket that was neat and tidy. I remember reading it at the time thinking, ahhh, that's a good idea. But alas, the memory is fading daily I think!

I don't remember the tute about the bowls, but have made many of them. What I did for that part is to cut the cord at an angle - tapering to nothing. Wrap that. It goes from thick to almost nothing, because you end up just kind of twisting the fabric with no cord in it. I hope that makes sense to you. You then stitch that skinny part as if it still had cording in it.

Eddie did a tutorial on the clothesline baskets but I think there are more? Someone this week posted an amazing ending with creating a rosette on the side of the basket to end the cord.

In pictures section, #145 at the moment. Called my latest rag bowl. Did a rosette for end. Very nice touch. |
