If so...at home with a regular sharpening stone? Or would I have to take them somewhere?
These were only 5 or 6 dollar scissors, but i love them because arthritis has made my joints large, and my thumbs get stuck in other scissors...so I would really like to sharpen these. I can't find any like them, or I'd have bought backups by now! Thanks, Donna

You might PM Scissorman and ask your questions.

I sharpen mine with a small hand help sharpener that you can get just about anywhere, it has 2 little sharpening sticks in it. Works great. Never send mine out to be sharpened.

Gingher make scissors with large holes, I have two x 5in ones, and one x 4in, and I simply adore them. Much sharper than any other scissor I have ever owned, and not incredibly expensive if you check on ebay - I got a 4in pair for a friend a couple of weeks ago for $14.

Thank you all for the answers!
Lacelady...believe it or not...I get my themb stuck in the gingher's...most scissors, actually...arthritis can make your joints ***very*** large! That's why I am so attached to this 1 pair..they are comfortable for me to use...Donna
