Interesting quilt. It looks like a wonky grandmothers fan adaptation with all the fan blocks sewn together to form a circle. If your want to attempt to replicate it, I would recommend using Grandmothers Fan as a starting point for your pattern and simply sew wonky strips at angles for the blades of the fans. Make it over sized so you can trim down to the fan shape. Instead of the outer arc, sew on stips and pieces of light colored fabric forming a rough semi-circle and then square up. Looks like it could be a fun project to try.

Looks very easy to do. Each flower is completed in search tons of 4, then sewn into a square. I agree with feline fanatic to start with the grandmother fan. She nailed the description very well. By the way, beautiful. I can see why you want to do a version of it!

Oh I love that. I can't tell you how to make it. Now I will have to add this to my bucket list. I thought I had something similar on Pintrest but I just looked and it isn't there. Good luck in your search and I look forward to seeing the completed project.

It looks to be a misshapen dresden plate

Looks like it may have been paper pieced but you wouldn't have to. I am in love with scrap quilts and now can't wait to begin this one. May even try one with each flower a different color. Thanks for sharing the pic......now I need to get busy sorting scraps!!!!! :-) I love it!

It looks like paper piecing or foundation piecing of strips. then sewing pieces over the outside of the fan to make it circular and continue on to a square corner. Then sew the four quarters together and put a center on it. Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing it.

It looks like the fan is put on a snowball block.
It will be interesting to see what you come up with.
Keep sharing!
