I think its fine. Kids like bright colors!

I'd use red for the border or you could do a double border with adding the blue. Then do the binding in the flag fabric. It's a great quilt!

How wonderful! You'll be a hit with this quilt! The bright colors are just the key to making it wonderful.

I love it just the way it is. It is perfect for a little boy. Bright and cheerful.

That's not too bright for a kiddo. Just your everyday primary colors----same as his coloring crayons.

I'd use the flag fabric for borders and binding and call it done

Why don't you like it? It looks wonderful to me! My DGS would absolutely love it.

I have some of the 'Cars' (Lightning McQueen and friends) fabric that he runs off with whenever he comes to my house. I may never get to use it cuz it will be worn out before I ever get around to making something with it!

I love it too. Don't worry so much. Get it done so you can make sure he is warm and you can start another one.

Try a plain border in Black. Then to extend it you can add the black flags. Or blue or red. That should help. Without a lot of seam ripping. I would lay the fabric along the side to see how you like it.
Just a thought.

I really like it the way it is.

well you could take out one of the three car prints in those rows. the center ones, and replace them with a solid. that would help "tone down" the quilt.
