There were three entries in the MSQ Iron Quilter 2 contest using this pattern, but I have no idea how to find out what the pattern is. I'm sure someone on this fantastic forum will know what it is.

Check Missouri Star quilt site to see if it was done as a YouTube tutorial.

It is 1/2 sq triangles , its just how they are laid out . The second quilt really gives a better clue as to the pattern and layout.

I don't know the name, but it looks like it's made up of HST. Just figure out your color pattern. It's an interesting layout!

I found this.

It's called Linked Up
http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilt...yed&_ctp=68540

you can also find it here as a border option: called Entwined
http://www.quilterscache.com/E/EntwinedBorder.html

One of our QB members I believe, said she did it with EQ7?

Thank you for the links DebraK!

onaemtnest 12-11-2013 07:16 AM

Thanks everyone....I do see the pattern with the second picture posted!

DebraK you are incredible you seem to always find the source of pattern questions on this forum!!!!! How do you always manage that? Thank-you, thank-you not only for answering this post but for all the other's you do consistently!!!!

DebraK 12-11-2013 07:25 AM

onaemptnest, you're sweet ;-)

Both links were coincidence. I have that border planned for a quilt I'm working on, and I also happen to be doing a Starburst quilt along with the designer of the Linked Up pattern. I remember seeing it at her shop.

There are so many helpful people on this board. Lots of knowledgeable people too and so willing to help. Thanks to all of you/them.

Yes I drew up a similar one that someone had posted. She called it Maypole Dance and she was kind enough to send me her pattern that she drew on engineering paper.

Links of love is what it said when I was saving the pic to my computer. I like to save a pic and use it as background to my computer at work

nativetexan 12-11-2013 01:23 PM

I printed that one out. it's rows of hst's but I figured with the colors I'd make them as nine patch blocks and place in rows. what ever way, it's doable.

This is a wonderful pattern and it is all HSTs and I may have to try it using my new old fashioned method of
making HSTs.:D

luvstoquilt301 12-12-2013 07:29 AM

Very interesting and quite easy.

tessagin 12-12-2013 07:32 AM

While these two are similiar, if you look closely Linked up has the flying geese (made with hst) opposite each other while Entwined does not, which makes it more stretched out.

Krystyna 12-13-2013 06:18 AM

Onalee, it sure is nice!

Wow! All great suggestions and yes, Cormiae I will be working on this pattern as I have a son whose BD is upcoming and I think it will be great for his home.

I asked if he was getting tired of getting quilts for his BD....his comment back to me "That's crazy talk, Mom!" Ah music to my ears... :0)
