I'm snuggling with a cotton/flannel quilt that I made right now...very cozy, but not heavy. It did get crinkly after washing, but that was what I was after.

I had this same question to myself yesterday. I washed up all the flannel I have on had, and was thinking of a baby
quilt pattern I could use. I wanted to use flat cotton for the top but really didn't know how that would go. thanks for asking the question for those of us who do not know. |
Many of us make the top with cotton and back it with flannel so it should be fine to do the opposite!

So I have this lady bug thin flannel that I would like to make a quilt with I have white flannel to go on the back but I had a thought today "What if I used white cotton fabric with the flannel?" I know from reading that after you wash the flannel it can shrink so its important to wash it but I have never tried it. I was wondering if anyone has ever used cotton with flannel? or thought about it?
And the answer is yes, you can use smooth cotton with cotton flannel. |
