Was wondering if anyone can help me find the technique where you wind your quilt and batting onto some planks of wood and then unwind - and pining as you go so that everything stays tight. I can't remember where I saw it and tried to google but not sure what to call it

I saw that idea and I think it was on You Tube/ or Missouri star quilt company videos on YouTube.

I just saw something similar. I read it on a thread here, I think, about Sharon Schamber. Look at http://www.sharonschambernetwork.com to see if that is what you were thinking.

You may be looking for the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhwNylePFAA by Susan Schamber. Instead of the herringbone stitch basting, I used pins and it worked really great. I have done queen size quilts with this method. Hope this helps.

Oh it was on a you tube recently. I can't recall off hand where.

Whoops I think you might have your answer. Good luck.
