Can't fnd this on the internet?

What is natural cotton board?

It looks like batting, 96"w x 9 yds for $10.50/yd, from JoAnn's Fabrics. I never heard of it and googled it - got drowned in references to the Cotton Board, prices, buyers, etc! Sheesh!!

So what is it, is it a batting, has anyone used, opinions...

thanks!

Not sure! All batting says batting. Will be interested in what other people say!

Call joann's! Mayit is just a mistake in wording batting/board. Good luck and let us know what you learn about this.

The only "Cotton Board" I know about is a group of growers/buyers of cotton.

Found out is it 100% natural cotton - needle punched no scrim. Legacy by Pellon - it is on a flat board for easy storage

Pellon sells their batting by the roll, yard or 'board'. A board is a pre packaged 9 yard cut wrapped around a board. Duh. One of our long arm group members is a Pellon Legacy batting distributor.

Well this is nice to know, never heard of it this way.

Thanks for this info!!

JNCT14 10-10-2012 04:01 AM

Many thanks to those who took the time to get the info. Here is why I am asking - Joann's online has this:
Natural Cotton Board 96X9Yds
# 11554367
reg. 13.99
sale 10.49
25% off Entire Stock Fabric

Its a good price considering that Warm N Natural is going for about $15/yd but I did not know what was meant by 'board'. It also does not say if this has a scrim - I guess I have to email them. If it doesn't I am not buying it because non scrimmed batting will beard like mad and I learned my lesson on THAT a while ago....

The 10.49 is per yard. Warm and natural would be less if you used a 40 or 50 percent off coupon.

Thanks for the info. I've never heard of cotton board either.

Google: natural quilting board sewing. You'll find your answer.

Good luck figuring this out. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around fusible fleece. LOL!

I just went to Jo-ann's, faked an order and it is the price per yard - not a great deal IMHO.

Got some at Hancocks Monday for 5.39 ..had it 50% 0ff and had a coupon for another 10% off total purchase.. There regular price is still 11.99 .. Couldn't but by lots..

I learn something new on here every day. I've never heard of buying batting by the board, either. At $10.49 per yard, I don't think I'll be buying much of that, though!
