I know that you said that you do not want black, but that is what I would use. I think black would make those colors really stand out!

Red seems too bright to me and I am a red lover. My first thought was burgundy.

I have recently done some scrappy blocks and I use lime green for the sashing and it is great. By the way I hate lime green but it makes the scrappy blocks pop!

I know this will sound weird to you, but it has worked for me on two occasions. One was a tee shirt quilt where there were so many colors and the other was a swap block project. I tried several pieces and was most satisfied with a khaki solid. Even though the color was not in the blocks, it pulled them all together. Also someone suggested gray. That may a good choice also.

I am on this Lime green kick. With that being said... Lime.
I love your blocks. |
Red would look super! And you could use scraps there, too.
|
i always like red, but i think gray will let the blocks stand out more.

imagine 1500 of them? I am making four quilts for my staff.. In each of my squares for my quilt there is a piece of navy fabric. My sashing is navy.. One of the girls chose burgundy sashing, and she picked the pieces with a burgundy piece in it. Another chose flowers as a piece, and another chose purple. I am trying to put them all together in the QAYG method.. I don't know what I was thinking.. They are not going together nicely.. and I am getting frustrated..

Perhaps the color you have them spread on, a dark tan or brown shade since the blocks are so vibrant in color.
|
I would like red or yellow.
