Card Trick Square up question.
 

I have made my first Card trick blocks and block is 9 squares for each block which should be 121/2 unfinshed size and 12 " finshed. I need to square up my blocks to what so I get the 12 1/2 inches. I want to sew the four 12 1/2 blocks together. Can some one tell me what to sq each of the nine blocks to sew into one block and then 4 of them together? I did cut every piece a little bigger for this purpose. here is a picture of four 9 piece blocks. Thanks ahead of time for help.[ATTACH=CONFIG]456775[/ATTACH] I think I figured it out. Square each one to 4 1/2 inches and I get the 24" finished I think?

Each block should finish at 4" so it should be 4-1/2" unfinished. Trim your blocks to 4-1/2".

Looks great to me. I want to make one too. I have several patterns I have cut out and not real sure how they go together. I keep picking out other patterns. Maybe one day I will get to this pattern.

Yes, square each block up to 4.5".

You've already sewn it this way and will be able to finish with help you've seen here. Cute fabrics!

Thanks Jan, I was so tired trying to figure this out. I had to make a chart and glue small pieces of fabric on it. I could not follow the written instructions. I almost gave up. After I ask how to square up, I look at blocks for a while and talked to myself and got it. Your tut is alot simpler.
