I would like a pattern to make some sort of carrier for rulers and that sort of thing that won't fit anywhere else. Sort of like a duffel bag? :?

I've found some useful ideas from wardrobe patterns in the home furnishings section of pattern books. Sometimes these really expensive patterns go on sale and you can adapt one to fit your needs. I did with a zippered wardrobe organizer. Check Simplicity - in the home dec section.

I have a bag I found at Ha*cocks. It holds my rulers, a small ironing pad, mats and has room for your blocks, cutters everything I need in there for a class or whatever. Its a really neat bag and it wouldn't be hard to make at all except maybe the zipper. Its probably bigger than you want but if you found one it would give you some idea how to make.

Good luck.

There is a lady on eBay who sells zippers in odd sizes - The Bargain Bungalow is her store.

I have seen them, but don't have a pattern.
