Love the Cathedral Window Quilt. I've done a table runner by hand. Lots of pressing - the hand stitching is not at all hard. It's a good project while sitting! But pressing the layers is really 1 of the keys. BTW be sure to ask all your friends for fabric scraps, if you're making it scrappy.

I don't know of a printable pattern for cathedral Windows, a lady in our sewing group simply showed me how to make one, I went home & made one- then knew he process & continued. I've always done them by hand. I'm sure there are probably plenty of video tutorials showing how they are done- search utube or Pinterest for tutorials. I don't think I could have figured it out by a written pattern- needed to see it done.

I found the pattern in "Quilter's Complete Guide" by Fons and Porter. It is my go to book. Maybe your local library has a copy that you can look at. It has tons of information and lots of pictures.

I know that I saw a faux cathedral window quilt tutorial from the Missouri Star Quilt Company. Do you think that I can find it now? NO! I have searched her tutorials on her site and it is not there. I think it was in her Block magazine but can't find that one either. Can anyone help?

Check out the Arkansas Quilt Man cathedral window pattern. Not sure if it would suit you for hand quilting, but if I recall correctly, he gave very good step by step instructions. I first saw it on this site.

Thanks for the information
