Has anyone made a cathedral windows quilt using the machine-stitched method by Shelley Swanland? I first saw this method demonstrated several years ago on Simply Quilts and purchased her book. I'm very interested in making a cathedral window quilt but don't know if I have the patience to do it by hand, but I'm also wondering if the results of this machine-stitched method are as pleasing to the eye.

I have tried the faux method and love it. Plan to make my niece a quilt using it:

I've made one cathedral windows pillow and I did it all by machine. I've never heard of Shelley Swanland though-I used a tutorial I found online. Here's mine:

I simply love doing it. I have made two practice pieces so far and they looked nice stitched by machine. We have posts showing some that are machine stitched and some that are hand stitched. They each look very nice. It is just an awesome pattern.

I just purchased both of Shelly Swanland's books - planning on trying them when we get back from vacation
