Celestial Dreams Panel

This is not a cheap piece of material but all the squares are really off and I don't know how to solve this problem. What can I do to make them square?

Without a picture of the panel, I can't tell you what to do. I did this quilt top make from pre-printed squares of fabric. I ended up trimming and adding a skinny border so that the blocks would fit into a single Irish chain quilt pattern. Good Luck.

Here's a pinterest site that shows a quilt made from this panel.

Looks to me like the squares are supposed to be offset

That is what I think as well, lillybeck.

My sister made a quilt that was all wonky. We added different sized sashings to each block, also differnt colors to make it look like it was supposed to be that way. We also laid the blocks out so the weren't lined up to make it less noticable that they were all different sizes. I hope this makes sense.

meanmom, thanks for your suggestion. It makes sense and I will give it a try. Where did you find the fabric for the quilt shown above?

Here's how I cut the same panel. Left some of the border on and fudged it to make it square.

Since her prints are so whimsical, using a wonky setting will be perfect. I've used a lot of panels and I always border them with something neutral so I can square them up prior to putting them into blocks.
