I was asked the other day how I use my copy machine to change pattern sizes. I thought maybe there were others who would like the formula I use. I use an HP copier, but I think it would work on any kind.
To reduce: (14" to 12") divide 12 by 14 and then multiply by 100. (83%) divide the size you want by the size you have times 100. To enlarge: divide the size you have by the size you want times 100. I hope this works for others........... |

One thing to watch, however, is that all copy machines do not copy accurately (exactly). They may elongate by just a smidgen in one direction or the other, so you always have to be careful with that. Try copying an exact square first and measure in both direction to see that they are the same before you rely on it to be correct.
