Changed the pattern!
You ever do this? Find a pattern on line. Think hmmm. This looks easy. Print it out. Have the fabric and start cutting/sewing. Well I did. Made at least half the blocks for a 50x60 quilt. 8" blocks all hst! Piece of cake. However when I start laying out the blocks...nope. Don't like it., Cut the blocks apart. Move the pieces around. Oh this looks better.
Ever hear the phrase "one step forward, two steps back". Well that was my sewing. Definitely counter productive! Link to Robert Kaufman's free pattern page and the original pattern: https://www.robertkaufman.com/quilti.../pointed_3317/ |
Oh Julie, you need to just keep on trucking. Sounds like something I would do.

well, that is better than going on with a pattern that just didn't speak to you. So finish this up the way you want to or if necessary, put it aside awhile. not long but until i think things out on it. have fun and good luck. sounds like you know what you are doing.

Been there done that! I try not to add to my UFO bin but that is how it all began. Now I have a number of pieces of quilts that I half made or tore apart all entered into my Hall of I have to rework that sometime..

I have many, many tops. now using them as backings!!

I really like that pattern JulieNM. Too bad it didn't work out for you. 😥
