Changing rotary blades
Bought a 5 pack of Olfa rotary blades. All five are in the same package with no information on how to separate them from each other. I'm scared :( to use my bare hands to figure this out.
Surely someone knows a safe way to get these blades apart. Help! |
I put them on a flat surface, put one finger on the top blade and slide it off. They're covered with oil, so it's not too difficult.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
After getting cut once by a rotary blade... I'm chicken to put my fingers in jeopardy. :o |
Use a stiletto and a pen, or something similar to slide them apart. I've always done it with my fingers and never had a problem. As an earlier poster said, they're covered with oil so they just slide apart.

Yes, just put your index finger on the top one and slide it over. As it tilts off the stack you can flip it up with a pencil or seam ripper so that you can put your fingers safely on each side.

Thanks! :)

Using a pencil eraser to slide them apart works, too.

Cool.... Knew y'all would help me!!
