this year our quilting group made mittens for the needy and social services organizations that can distribute them. Our small town is having a tree festival and of course we decorated the tree with our mittens. Now we are looking for a new project for next year. We need a year to work on it because of other commitments. Does any one have suggestions on a sewing Charity project. We have done baby quilts. so looking for something different.

Fleece slippers for shut-ins?
Knit hats?
Sponser a "Thank a service person" write-in?
Ask the social services organizations for suggestions!
Have a great Christmas, and God bless you for helping others!

What about adult bibs for the nursing homes--those are usually really appreciated.

Or little layettes for premies.

Or quilts for Project Linus (can be Poly Blend or poly knit)or Quilts for Kids(they even furnish top and backing fabric--you furnish batting and quilt it). They want them back finished in six weeks.

OR Quilts of Valor or quilts for My Brother's Keeper

Do you have a Veteran's hospital in your state? Our guild is making lap robes 45 X 45 for one of our Veteran's hospital for the long term residents.
