chenille bed spread

I have a old chenille bed spread and wondering if I could use most of the chenille in a quilt???

The bed spread has some real old brownish looking stains but there is quite a bit that could be recycled has anyone
ever done anything like this????

What do you think?

Here's a chenille and flannel rag quilt. Do a google search for chenille quilt. https://www.flickr.com/photos/neshas...he/6935232854/

I have cut up a chenille bedspread and used it for Applique shapes on a baby quilt. Worked well

Chenille makes nice teddy bears if it is in good shape.

I have used the chenille for squares in quilts I made for Alzheimer patients with texture. I made the squares small enough that I didn't have to quilt them across the chenille, just in the seam.

I have a chenille bed spread that I plan to use at some point. Go for it!
