Cherries on top repair

1 Attachment(s)
Not sure if you remember my "Cherries on Top" quilt I made for my cousin. But was getting ready to pack and I found a rip, WHAT!!! I then I thought of all the times we had said, applique something over it. So I put my pea-brain to work and nothing came up. LOL so I did try an applique of just plain fabric. I was lucky it was a plain white piece, it was a long piece but I just did a plain block. Can you see it?? Except for a extreme close-up and knowing where it is, I think I did GOOD.http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=494200&stc=1

looks like a perfect repair to me

I can't see any repair. If it is there, it is perfectly camouflaged by your piecing and quilting. Excellent save!

Aren't you glad you found that before you gave the quilt away? I had something similar happen and just used fabric glue with a patch underneath, then used a fabric marker to kind of disguise the tear line. Then I quilted like heck in that area! (Caught it before quilting). I think your patch looks great - can't see it at all!

Great save!

I think you did a great job because I don't see it.

I don't see anything either. Obviously you did a great job if all these quilters can't see it. Well done.
