Chicago quilt pattern

Has anyone made a quilt by Rose Marie Page called "Chicago"? I am interested in making this quilt, but after studying the pattern and looking at the diagrams it does not seem to add up. Just wanted to know if anyone has made this before.

Wish I could help you, but I'm not familiar with this pattern. Sure hope someone else chimes in!

Is this the one: http://www.arizonaquiltershalloffame.../Rose-Page.pdf

I have not seen this one before, but it looks like a fence rail with alternating black or white squares depending on the row. The rows are sewn diagonally with triangle setting. It should not be too hard to do. I would start with the strip in the middle and work my way to either side. Definitely lay the strips out so that you sew them in the correct order, or print a pic of it and mark off the strip as you make and attach it, as it can get confusing. I have done a diagonal strip quilt before. I learned. You just have to keep your head and make sure you have it right before you sew. That way you save on ripping.

It is a pretty quilt. Have fun and enjoy!

I think it is a warm wishes layout. Set on point. I love the colors in it.

Reminds me of Bonnie Hunter's Allitare. (sp?)

what is it that you think "doesn't add up" about the pattern?

Does anyone know where to buy her patterns?

I see it as alternating pattern strips set diagonally......

I have to agree with bj. Warm Wishes set on point. Looks pretty simple to me.

It looks similar to Warm Wishes but pieced on the diagonal. One row has white blocks and rail fence alternating and the next row has pattern fabric blocks with rail fence blocks alternating. Also the rail fence blocks are alternated back and forth within a row. setting triangles on the ends and corner blocks in ..well..the corners!

I googled Rose Marie Page. She was a quilter from Tucson and passed away in 2015.

Thank you yngldy, that is the pattern. I have done the triangle setting a few times and you are correct. Check everything twice and sew once. It was that the directions for cutting was not clear to me. I am using fabric from my collection, so there isn't any room for mis-cutting. I have looked again at the pattern and now I see it does look like warm wishes pattern set on point. The pattern I have was borrowed and a page was missing, got the phone call today. So I didn't have a full set of cutting instructions. Thank you for your help. Also, on the link you sent below the Chicago quilt is the wall hanging of the stained glass humming-bird pattern I made into a quilt with more flowers and birds, for my daughter's 16th birthday.

Sorry, Jane Quilter. I did not have a full set of cutting instructions. This is a borrowed pattern from a friend, pages not numbered. Fabric list didn't add up to cutting instructions. I like to sort of study my patterns before I cut anything. So therefore something didn't add up.
