http://quilterscache.com/AlphabetizedListPageS_Z.html Scroll through until you come to the Twelve Days of Christmas and maybe one of these blocks will inspire you. If it's appliqué you can just make the block larger and snowball it if you think there is too much background fabric showing.

That sounds like such a fun idea! If they are to be Christmas carols (or songs) I would google Christmas carols or songs and choose the one that I could represent the best.
|
I'm not very creative but how about a picture of a home to represent I'll be Home for Christmas.

"Mary, Did you know?" bring ideas to mind.

Frosty, the Snowman
Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer |
i was thinking frodty the snowman but that is kind of easy

Sounds like fun blocks. We Three Kings...O Christmas Tree..
|
The first Christmas song that came to mind was Frosty the snowman. Applique a snowman with snowflake fabric as the background. Next, I thought of Jingle Bells. Applique a sleigh with jingle bells. Also, I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. Use white fabric for the snow and applique a house with snow on the roof and a Christmas tree in the window. For a bit harder song, you could make a pretty Star block...to represent..We 3 Kings...there is a verse with Star of wonder, Star of Light.... This sounds like such a fun challenge. Let us know what you decide.

I would assume you want Christmas carols sine it is a Christmas challenge? Christmas is easy and there are tons of pictures out there for inspiration. How about Hark the Hearald Angels Sing, The Little Drummer Boy, Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, White Christmas, Jingle Bells, ..... The list is endless.
