What is boning?

purplemem 09-13-2010 05:04 AM

Boning is the plastic stuff that makes underwire bras, etc. Well, in bras it is metal, but you can buy plastic, also. Hancocks and JoAnns both carry it, but I don't anywhere else to buy it. Probably Nancy's Notions.

Thanks. I love the idea of a car trash bag.

I wish I knew whether Insulbright is safe to use. These bags are longer than wide, about 10 x 15, fully lined, with batting inside. I quilted mine around the design of the outside print, then finished the bag with a turndown of the top. Flannel is good, at least for the lining.

Warm and Natural now has special bat for these!

I use the plastic strip that comes around heavy packages. It's free!

Hey Alisa, just print out the recipes on your computer with fabric for the ink jet. There you go!

I made steno pad covers w/matching pens. There is a tute on-line if you Bing it. HIH Sorry I don't have the site any longer, but the pads went over very well.

I'm thinking of making shower wraps for gifts this yr. They are easy and work for boys or girls: You could also add slippers if you like:

Go back several messages and you'll see a link for makeit-loveit. There's a pattern for making trash bags for the car.
