Try your thrift stores, doggie bag store, ect for flannel 1/2 price. I got a great big piece of Green/Black for $1.00, and am going to make our son a housecoat.
We draw names for Christmas, so I am going to make it for him in exchange for the jobs he does for us around the house. Is that bribery or what!!! Mariah |
P.S... Our doggie bag also has patterns for like a dime. Try your thrifts; I was amazed at what all they have.

But got a couple of good links for you - [http://awtr.blogspot.com/2007/09/cake-in-jar.html] [http://baking.about.com/od/giftideas...gjarcakes.html] I use them for 'favors' - make King cakes for our Mardi Gras party, this year I think I'll make fruit cake - because for most of us, that's more than enough!, we've used them at bridal and baby showers, just whatever. They're fun and easy. |

Not only am I not much of a gourmet, I'm not much of a computer tech either! |
for those of you who like recipes there are two great online groups to join. You will find recipes for everything under the sun.
They are both yahoo groups. One is recipelu and the other is friendly freezer. Recipelu is a bit of everything and the freezer one is mostly cooking meals to keep in the freezer. The Once A Month cooking type recipes. From these two groups I have gotten recipes for homemade gifts like bath salts, skin care products, doggie treats...you name it. They are both prolific so be prepared for a lot of emails. Or you can opt to just view on the website. I recommend both highly! |
