Christmas ornament quilt

Hi,
I have a beautiful collection of Christmas prints. Does anyone have pattern ideas for a Christmas Ornament Quilt. I printed out one but the largest ornament is 4”. These fabrics are so pretty I would like to keep them as large as I can. Maybe an 8” ornament. The pattern I have has the ornaments hanging at different levels, which I like. But all of the ornaments are just too small.

Could you use the pattern you have but re-work it for larger sized ornaments?

Are you wanting pieced or applique ornaments. Mr google has quite a few, with links to some patterns. You should be able to enlarge any designs with the computer to the size you need. I didn't see any size of the pdf pattern but it seems fairly large.

Yes, Tks. I think I’m going to make a few of these. I like the one from Windham Fabrics. It’s a 7 1/2” square. This may be one of those projects that I add things as I see fit. I like the hanging ornaments. But I’m wanting a few different sizes and shapes. Lol. We’ll see how this turns out.

Here is a quilt-along with different applique shapes - no pattern, but you might be able to make up your own. You need to check the archives at the top and select each month for different blocks.

If you scroll through the google link from Gay, there are quite a few different quilts with ornaments.
As usual, Google delivers!

Using the windham pattern, you can make different size ornaments just by varying the size square you begin with and can arrange them any way you like. I can visualize them as a swag.

Here's a cute quilt block with ornaments in 4 different shapes. It puts all 5 ornaments (repeats one shape) on one 12" block, so they're probably a lot smaller than what you're looking for, but you can take the idea of each of the shapes and make larger versions. A bit of playing around graph paper is an easy/fun way to plan out what you want for shapes.

Have you checked out Quilters Chache? They may have something out there.
