A Christmas quilt

Here's my latest. It's fairly small, I guess about 40 x 55. The back is a super soft fleece throw.

This quilt has the 16 patch blocks I was asking about in another thread.

Ha! Funny that you caught on to that. I have one bin of Christmas fabrics including some smaller bits. I'm trying to make a pile of Christmas stuff to donate so I don't have to store that bin full of fabric until next year. I had just a little of the "Noel" left and used much of it with this quilt. It was an old Daisy Kingdom print with "Noel" at the bottom. The rest of that print was the beige that I used for the sashing and borders. The 16 patches used up most of the scraps in the bin. My goal is to save just a few pieces of Christmas fabric until next year. Space is at a premium for me.

Nicely done. And it appears you've managed to accomplish your goal of minimizing your Christmas fabrics as well!

Oh I really like how your quilt turned out. I just want to wrap myself up and have a cup of cocoa.
How did you bind it?

KenmoreGal2 09-22-2017 07:09 AM

I pulled the fleece from the back to the front, folded it over once and zig zagged.

Thanks for the kind words. It really is super cozy!! Unfortunately my house is already full of quilts that I use so I'll be donating this one for a fundraiser.
