Christmas Quilting Motif ideas
 

I am in the process of finishing a quilt top and writing the pattern for a Christmas themed quilt using Timeless Treasures Holiday fabrics --- Pines and Poinsettias designed by Chong-a Whang. Just have the borders to attach to the top and figure out my choice for a backing before quilting this --hopefully on a midarm Bailey machine. (Otherwise it will be done very slowly on my Bernina 380 --- way too much fabric for the Bernina 380 throat area. I am trying to figure out some ideas for quilting motifs --- Holly and Berries; old-time roses, angel wings , all have crossed my mind. I have taken apart the preprinted panel and built frames around the smaller squares to make larger squares. Some stitch in ditch is necessary. Anymore ideas for the quilting??

Would love to see your quilt, sounds beautiful. How about some graceful ribbons.

I used Yahoo and did a search on Christmas Tree Pantographs. There are many images out there. Maybe one of them will be the one that is just right for the project.

I have thought of doing one with a continuous line of lights such as went on a tree back when I was a kid.

Snowflakes are always wonderful on quilts. Hope to see a photo soon.
