Tallulah, thanks so much for your vote of confidence. Im excited to get started on these. I may make them bigger, as you suggested. And I dont think I want to put the holly or the berries. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks again. |
I love this idea. I'm currently making crazy quilt stockings for my grandchildren, but getting tired of the same ole, same ole. I might mix it up and do a couple of these. THANKS for the link.

Dear Tallulah, and anyone else who cares to read and/or comment,
Ok, so I DID IT! I made a stocking! And it actually came out REALLY nice. Only thing is, I wish it was bigger. My question is, (please remember Im new to this) if I want to make it bigger...how do I know how to make it bigger. Like I dont know how to get the right dimensions as far as width and length. Can someone help me? Thanks so much for ALL your help thus far. Im so proud! |
Not sure if this will help, but there are a few ideas.
1. Take pattern to a copy shop and have them increase size. (easiest way) 2. Put pattern on graft paper and enlarge by counting blocks and marking, then drawing around. 3. If you have a fax machine, increase the percentage and run through, then just tape the pieces together until it's the size you want (hope this makes sense :) ). This can be time consuming and a little frustrating 4. Take Parchment paper, draw the pattern on it, then take a 2" ruler and mark dots all around then join the dots. Hopes this helps and isn't too confusing. |
How do you post pictures? I haven't tried that part yet. I could show you my stockings.
