christmas tree skirt ideas?

Hello.. I bought that 10 degree wedge ruler to make a christmas tree skirt. But when I did that I hated it. I actually did not finish because of how awful it looked.. probably the wrong fabrics.

So I found 3 fabrics that I do like and I wanted to make a tree skirt with them. My problem is that the "main" fabric (my fabric that I wanted to be the focal point) I could only get 1.5 yards. which is not enough for the pattern that I wanted to try.

So that pattern will go tot he back burner for another time. :)

Do any of you guys have easy tree skirt patterns for 3 fabrics? I have 1.5 yard of my favorite fabric, then 1 yard of fabric #2 and fabric #3 I was planning on using for the backing so I have plenty of that (4.5 yards)

Any suggestions?

How about a carpenter star. You should have enough for that

the ones I;ve done are all appliqued. Maybe try that. I did one with cute sonowmen on a blue background ( My dh is Jewish), I did one with bears, trees and stars, and another with holly leaves and yo yos as the berries with red crystals in the centers. good luck. show us your fabrics.
