Christmas Vacation
Thinking that when all my Christmas gifts are made, I'm taking a little vacation and let the sewing machine cool off until New Years Day. Not saying I won't look through some patterns and quilting magazines. Never mind that I have an order coming from Connecting Threads of around $100. I'll just fondle the new fabric and walk away. Believe Santa is bringing me a Kindle so will need to make friends with it.

Just remember, the kindle is quiet, the fabric calling your name, is not lol
I'm planning on taking a break then, too. Not sure if I can stick to it, but I need to try!
I don't plan to take but a few days here and there. Going to SIL & BILs next Sat, Christmas Eve at DD and & DDILs and that is about it. Working on a scrappy using my triangles from previous quilts.
I use my quilting as my "vacation" from work! I am proud of myself when I go 3 days in a row without touching my quilting.
Good Luck and enjoy your time off!!! |
I'm not planning a quilting "break" at all. I am always trying to find more ways to fit in MORE quilting time. Enjoy your little vacation though!
I'm ready to work on something for Me, or something I "want" to work on. HUMMMMMM I wonder what it will be....
Good luck. Just rember a couple of days is a long time to leave one of you children all alone.

The days between Christmas and New Years are the luxury days I have to quilt. Working fulltime does not leave a lot of free time. Fortunately, my company is on shut down between the holidays. Let's see: catch up on housework or sew and read....
