I am looking for a circle quilt pattern. My Step father is Native American and has traditional native american beliefs...that everything in life goes in a circle....and it is very important to him. Since I am sure it is going to take me a very long time, I would like to find a pattern and starting looking for the proper fabrics. If you know of any quilt that would fit this bill please let me know! :) TIA

There is a pattern by Fons and Porter called peek a boo....more for a baby quilt but you could make it bigger and choose patterns more adult like....

There is a thread about denim quilts here on the QB where someone showed a technique for using circles in quilts.

There is also a variation of the double wedding ring pattern that uses a single piece in the arc.

I hope you find something that works for your purpose.

See if your library can find a copy of Katie Pasquini Masopust's book Mandala Quilt Designs. http://store.doverpublications.com/0486284913.html
Or take a look at some of the circular designs at SW Decoratives http://www.swdecoratives.com/quiltscircular.html

I saw a quilt someone posted it was a square (I think) quilt and it had one large circle like in the double wedding ring... but it was just the huge outside circle. i cannot find it for the life of me, but that was sort of the idea I was hoping to go towards.

Were you wanting to piece the circle with different fabrics?

I wanted the quilt to be different colors but the circle to be pieced together just with one single color...like cream for example while the rest of the quilt is earthy colors.
