I want to make an old-fashioned clamshell quilt. Can anyone direct me to a free paper pattern for the pieces? I can make my own template if I can find the pattern.

The easiest one I saw was to take the Drunkard's Path and put 4 of them together to make a ClamShell. This is on my list and thats what I'm going to try. Hope that helps. =)

TRY THIS:
Choose your size -- teacup, water glass, small bowl, etc. Trace.
Fold circle in half twice across the center.
Place your round object with the edges touching the lines across the center of the circle. Trace. Move across the line and trace again.
Cut out your clamshell.

I have NEVER seen a finished clam shell quilt at a quilt show...K Fassett has a pattern in one of his books
