Class recommendations for Scan and Cut
I got a Brother Scan & Cut, 650 for my birthday, it's still in the box for 6 months +. Can anyone recommend classes to get this thing going?

Does their website offer classes? Or at least basic "how to's"?

I would check out their website. It is really more for applique quilting. I saw a demo on it and it was too confusing for me.

You can actually use it to cut pieces for quilting, and it will even draw the seam lines for you. Granted, it's one layer at a time. I use mine more for paper projects, but they are also made for fabric. You can buy USB sticks with patterns for quilting. It's really very easy to use--I set mine up and was able to use it right away. I did use it to cut letters to fuse on a baby quilt I did. Don't give up on the machine, it does have a lot of good features. And it's much easier to use than the Silhouette Cameo I gave to my daughter (at least for me, I'm more technically challenged than she is)

This isn't a class but it is a you-tube with some instructions. Also, you can view other links noted on the right hand side of that you-tube.

Find out where it was purchased - if local call and see if they offer anything

You tube has lots of videos.

You should check locally who sells it. Here Tidewater sew n vac does and they offer classes. Thier are links with videos on brothers web site plus tons of you tube videos. Congratulations
