I have the 30. It weighs about 13 lbs without the ext table. I paid $399.99 for it using Amazon Prime with free shipping, rolling tote and the extra quilter's feet package included.

Well for me that machine is no good. The thread keeps breaking as it gets caught inside of machine. So now I realllly do not like owning this machine. Just have the cover off and fixed again. It should be ok for a couple weeks before I toss it as I feel it's junk and don't want to pass this on to someone else. From a couple others I hear this machine is great or junk.

The thirty is the one I'm looking at online.

thanks for the reply, I am sorry you are having such a time with the 3160. I guess sewing machines are like any other "thing" we buy.....you get good ones or you get a bad one. Luck of the draw sometimes.
If I was having that problem with my 3160, I would definitely be looking for a replacement ASAP.

Well life got in the way. My sons US trip is put off for 6 wks. I bit the bullet and put it into the dealer for service. Took it back next day as I felt it wasn't a whole lot better. Instead of thread breaking every 6 inches or less I can sew 30 minutes or more before the top thread bread
ks and sometimes the top thread forms a loop on the bobbin side.. She said it was all operator error. I got in a snit and took it home and decided its already crap so I'll make it more crappy. Googled my problems and sorta fixed it.It's really noisy so I also put a drop of oil in the bobbin area. The stitches look great but when I need to rip out a mistake it's really too easy to take the thread. I suspect tension problems Is the sparrow as loud as it sounds on the videos.

About 2 years ago 3 of my quilting friends each got one of the Passports. I think the 2.0. Oddly enough all three of them have had a lot of trouble with them requiring many dealer trips. None of the 3 would have it again. Maybe a bad batch?

I’ve 2 Passport 3.0s now. One is in a SewEzi table which I love. Awesome machines for quilt piecing and general sewing. Really nice straight, zigzag, and blindhem stitches. Good price. Lightweight. I don’t think I’ll buy a fancy machine again.
