Cleaning muslin on strip stick?

Has any one ever opened their strip stick to remivecthe muslin for washing? Just curious as mine really needs to be cleaned!

The one I have the casing slips off the stick.

I would be concerned about shrinkage and not being able to get the casing back on the stick. Can you wash it without taking it apart?

or perhaps cover it? I haven't really seen one, so this maybe a stupid suggestion ;-)

Just open a seam and take it off. Use the removed cover as a pattern and make a new one!!!

and there you go ;-)

Great ideas! Probably just make a new cover but the original one is serged on there so not sure how to do that!
