Can any of you give me some suggestions for cleaning quilt? Can it go into a washing machine on a delicate cycle? And what type of soap do you recommend?.

Thank you,Betsy

Could you give us a little more info, how old is it, what kind of condition is it in, etc? Thank You!

Betsy, I wash all of my quilts, old and new, in machine, gentle, cool
water and very little mild liquid soap. Even dry them in dryer, they
come out just fine. Nancy :D

Depending on the condition, If it is really old I would probably wash it in the tub and lay it somewhere outside to dry between two sheets so that it doesn't get faded. I would also use a very mild soap.

I just threw mine in with soap and gentle wash, even threw it in the dryer.
It give it a pucker effect but it turned out nice. It hides little mistakes. I had to get pet hair off so I could have it in a show.
Oh you better throw in a dryer magnet sheet.
