Cleaning threads from Design wall

Thought I'd share. Sorry if everyone already knows this.....
While cleaning my quilting room yesterday, I thought "Hmmmm how can i get all of those stray threads from my design wall?" Then I thought, I wonder if the wire slicker brush would work. Ya, know the kind of brush you use on cats and fluffy dogs, with a whole bunch of tiny wire bristles. So, grabbed a new spare I had purchased and went to it. It worked like a charm! Not only did it clean off all of the threads, but fluffed the wall surface to a brand new look. So clean and pretty!

I have one of those old fashioned lint brushes that is re-useable......you know the ones, you brush one way it picks up the lint, you brush the other way to remove the lint from the brush. It's probably 25 years old, the handle broke off somewhere along the line, but the brush head works like a charm.

I have one of those too. but it didn't work as well as the slicker brush.

I vacuum mine -- use the extension attachment. Works well.

I will have to try this, mine is a mess. I have been trying to decide how to clean it.

I hate to sound dumb... but what is a wire slicker brush? I probably own one but is there another name for it?

My design wall is white felt I'm not sure what type of brush would work without "fluffing" up the nap on the felt.

Mine is felt too. Interested in seeing the replies you get katydidkg.
