Clearly Perfect Angles--Opinion?

Several months ago I bought one of the Clearly Perfect Angles By New Leaf Stitches. It is to help you make HST's, & other 45% angles. It has the 1/4" & 5/8" seam guides marked. If you don't know what it is you can check it out here.

I hope the link works. My question is: If you have used it, what do you think of it.
I finally used it and was very disappointed in it. It was far from a 1/4" for me. It could very well be user error. I went back to doing them my old way.
Thanks to everyone for your imput. Vonda

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and have been using it regularly. I get a good 1/4" seam and it worked great for HSTs. Perhaps you're not feeding your squares through correctly? The points of your square should follow along the 1/4" line on either side of center as you feed them through.

Most of this type of rulers definitely need careful pressing with Best Press or Starch as you sew on the bias.

I tend to use either The Angler 2 when I have some HST's I want to make. For larger numbers I use Thangles. One of my best quilting buddies got a ruler from That Quilt Patch HST ruler. It also makes great QST's and combinations. I am tending to think of getting that ruler when I have a need.

EIQuilter & AliKat, I have done all the things you have suggested. I think I am just not wired (my brain) for these new fangled gadgets. I think I just need to stick to the old fashion ways my Momma taught me. Perhaps i'm Gadget Challenged. Who know maybe someday I will try it again & it will click in my pea brain, what I am doing wrong. I'm not a quitter. Well, not usually. LOL!!!
Thanks for the words of help & encouragement. Vonda

Vondae, I'm with you...I prefer to mark the line on the fabric...much easier to see
where I'm going.

I have that and it works wonderfully! This is an old thread though.
