STRIPES! Hands down for me!

I vote for the strips, the colors are perfect

I agree with those that said the stripes would be great for the binding. Also, if you have any trouble at all getting your backing on straight, as I often do, the stripes would draw attention to that. I like the clouds for the back.

I also like the stripes and I would use that fabric on the bias for the binding. That is my favorite finish and use it whenever I can.

So glad you did it that way. I too thought there could be a chance of off kilter stripes on the back but I didn't want you to think I was assuming you might get it on wrong as I could so easily do.
