I wouldn't be with out mine. I have 2- one in my sewing studio and one in the family room. They thread even the tiniest needles.

I could not do anything related to hand sewing without my Clover needle threader.

Probably just color preference. My experience with them was underwhelming at best. Broke about the 3rd or 4th time I tried to use it. I just stick with the little wires on the metal discs any more. Much cheaper so when it breaks it's no big deal.

Either I didn't understand how to use it (no directions) or there was a defect in the one that I bought. Wasted money!

Thanks for reminding me that I have one - unopened - and although I don't do a lot of hand work I really need help threading my needles. I think the needle's eyes are getting smaller, and they don't hold still. They must be getting old. ;)

They are just color choices, not different. I love mine. It even threads tiny quilters betweens with ease.

What brand of needles do you use? I can't get mine to work on my John James betweens.

I have both the Clover and the Bohin and I love them both. The Bohin actually has two places for needles - small and large, which to me means applique and sharps. They can both be finicky, and I have had to try up to 5 times to get the needle threaded, but it eventually works. Be sure the thread is pushed all the way down into the groove.

Mike'sgirl, I don't remember. They are all out of the package.

Me neither.

I guess I gave up too quickly...I'll have to give it another try.

Guess I won't be investing in one. With my eyes failing faster than I'd like to accept .too. I use "straw needles" for my hand sewing. They are quite thin and have a very small eye. Most of mine have a decidedly "C" shaped curve in them, but I still love 'em. I have learned to place a light colored paper behind when threading or use the ole cheap needle threader. You all know it.....the thin piece of tin (I guess) with a loop of steel at the end.

I have 2. Love them. Just introduced some of my quilting friends to them. Because of my "old eyes", I have a difficult time trying to thread needles, particularly the small #10 quilting needles. These really do the trick for me.

One has the stand and it does make it more stable. Also, I have found that if your needle is bent, it won't thread it. I have bought some as gifts. I think it is definitely worth the money.
